Housing
Finding a Place to Live
There are several choices for housing near the campus for international students. Review the choices and contact the International Student Services office when you've decided the option that is best for you:
The student housing on campus offers several options for international students, depending on your age and how long you intend to stay.
You can live with an American family, practice English, and learn about American customs. Host families provide a comfortable place and may provide meals, laundry facilities, and a private bedroom with a desk, dresser, and closet.
University Village is a privately owned dormitory located within walking distance of the university. It is a student community and the residents and staff are very helpful and friendly. Each furnished apartment consists of a living room, kitchen, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, a dresser, a lamp, and a desk. Three to four students share each apartment.
Many apartment buildings are conveniently located near the campus. Some are within walking distance, while others are a short bus or bike ride away.
If you have not been able to work out a housing option in advance, please contact us at least 2 days before you arrive and we will reserve a room for you at a hotel within walking distance of the campus. This will give you a temporary home while you look for a place to live. To reserve the hotel room you will need to provide a credit card.
